Marketing won’t save your business.

But these four keys will.

Unless you use them, you’ll stay stuck, and possibly lost for good.

The keys to a calm, successful business for coaches and therapists

If you’re a spiritual, open-minded coach or therapist looking to make your online business work, so you can live calmly, without stress - this article is for you.

This isn’t just about marketing tips (although you’ll find some here too).

This is a story about what truly makes your business work.

And more importantly, why you might be struggling.

Let’s begin with this:

People don’t buy what you do—they buy why you do it.
– Simon Sinek

Read that again.

This isn’t about blaming you for trying to market your work.

Maybe you’ve shared content on social media, built opt-ins, and tried to bring people into your funnel—yet nothing sticks.

If you’re still feeling stuck, frustrated, and overwhelmed—this article points you to the real reason why.

The root cause of the stress. The missing link that’s preventing your business from taking off.

This is about how to build a business that gives you peace of mind and allows you to guide the people you’re truly meant to help.

Why I care

Since I was a child, I’ve loved writing and telling stories.

For more than 20 years, I’ve studied communication deeply.

I’ve learned from some of the best in the world—David Ogilvy, Gary Halbert, and David Deutsch, to name a few.

Later, I came across Simon Sinek’s book Start With Why, and it sparked something deeper.

I became curious and listened to all his videos and speeches.

Something amazing happened because of curiosity

When I combined Simon Sinek’s approach with David Deutsch’s
CopyTHINKING, plus my own insights into core values, intrinsic motivation, and meditation - everything clicked.

That’s how I created my own approach:
Calm by Purpose.

It’s not just a concept—it’s a system that helps spiritual coaches and therapists eliminate the stress of building a business, by removing the pressure of constant social media posting and “value sharing” that often doesn’t convert.

And I created it because I was stressed myself.

Nothing I tried was working, until I stopped chasing more marketing and started listening within.

When I aligned my communication with my core value—calm—and got clear on why I wanted to help open, spiritual female coaches, everything changed.

Through meditation, I stayed grounded in my values—and from that clarity, the path revealed itself.

It felt so aligned, I couldn’t not do it.

That’s why I now offer it freely.

Because here’s the truth:

If you can clearly express
why you do what you do, your business will naturally attract the right clients.

Two questions that can change everything in your life and online business:

  • What is your number one core value?
  • Who do you truly want to help—and why?
    (What’s your intrinsic motivation?)

Then go deeper:

  1. What pain are they experiencing right now?
  2. What small step can you help them take toward the future they want?
  3. How would they describe their life once that future becomes real?

These answers are only helpful if you complete the full 4-step process I outline on my website.

But even starting with these two questions can open your eyes.

Let me share a story (and you will see why storytelling is so effective, yet it needs to come from inside you)

I once helped someone who sold weight-loss programs.

He was overwhelmed, frustrated, and stressed, because he was missing these foundational steps.

Here’s what I wrote for him:

“I remember my dad when I was a little boy. He was overweight and couldn’t play with me.

I just wanted to see him happy, smiling, moving freely.
But he mostly sat in his chair, sad and angry.

Years later, I became curious—what if I had known how to help him?

That question became my mission.

Today, I help overweight dads regain their energy and joy, so they can play with their children and live the life my dad never got to live.”

See what happened there?

That story speaks directly to a specific audience: overweight fathers who want to connect with their children.

It’s emotionally real.

His core value came from a deep personal memory.

His intrinsic motivation (his why) became his mission.

His curiosity led him to specialize in this work.

Meditation helped him confirm that it was the right path.

And in the end, his communication stood out in the crowded market, because his desire to guide these men came straight from his heart.

It was his why.

Because people don’t buy your services, courses or memberships.

They buy your story.

They buy your
why.

One last thought

If your business isn’t working, don’t start with more marketing.

Start with you—your values, your story, your why.

Everything else flows from there.

You can read the full 4-step plan on how to be calm on my website.

It’s designed to help spiritual and open-hearted professionals like you get clear, eliminate stress, and finally create a business that works—with peace and purpose at the center.

Because calm isn’t something you stumble upon.

It’s something you build—on purpose.
